Accommodation
Delegates are responsible for arranging their own accommodation for the duration of the conference.
A limited number of rooms will be available in student halls of residence, offered on a first-come, first-served basis. These provide a convenient and cost-effective option, particularly for student and early-career attendees.
In addition, there are several hotels located within close proximity to the campus, offering a range of accommodation styles and price points. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, with nearby underground stations served by the Piccadilly and District lines.
Further details and booking links will be provided when registration opens.
Frequently Asked Questions
What airports?
There are 5 international airports that serve the city of London. We suggest using Heathrow as the best option, as there is a direct underground line ( Picadilly) to the South Kensington area. Gatwick and/or London City are a second option. Luton and Stansted cater to cheaper flights, but the transport into central London can be challenging.
Are there discounts?
Thermodynamics 2026 is committed to supporting student participation. To help make the conference more accessible, a limited number of reduced registration fees may be available for students on a case-by-case basis.
If you are currently enrolled as a student and would like to apply for a discounted rate, please contact the conference chairpersons directly with the following information: Full name and institutional affiliation; Proof of student status (e.g., valid student ID or official enrollment letter); A short statement outlining your interest in attending the conference.
All requests will be reviewed individually, and decisions will be based on availability and funding considerations. We recommend reaching out as early as possible, as spaces are limited.
