Call for Abstracts - deadline 31 March 2026

We are delighted to invite abstracts for the Thermodynamics 2026 Conference, an international gathering of researchers, academics, and industry professionals dedicated to advancing the science and applications of thermodynamics.

We welcome contributions that address both fundamental and applied aspects of thermodynamics, including (but not limited to): 
* Classical and statistical thermodynamics 
* Non-equilibrium processes and transport phenomena
* Energy systems, sustainability, and renewable technologies 
* Computational methods and modelling
* Industrial and chemical applications
* Quantum thermodynamics and nanoscale energy systems

Abstract submissions are invited from students, early-career researchers and established experts alike. Selected abstracts will be considered for oral and poster presentations, offering a unique opportunity to showcase your work to an international audience.

Abstract Submission Guidelines 

All abstracts must be submitted via the Oxford Abstracts platform which is accessed on this Submission Link. The  submission deadline  is 31 March 2026.

Step-by-step Instructions:


1. Create or Sign In to Your Account
If you already have an Oxford Abstracts account, log in as usual.  If not, you will need to create a new account. 

2. Complete the Submission Form
After logging in, you'll be directed to the submission page.  Read the instructions carefully.  Most fields are required (*). The abstract must not exceed 250 words. 

3. Save, Submit, and Modify Your Abstract

You can save your submission and return to it at any time before the final deadline of 31 March 2026. To save your work, simply click Submit—this does not lock your submission. Instead, it will generate a confirmation email and include a personalised link to access and edit your submission anytime and as often as needed before the deadline.
Note: Your abstract will not be saved or acknowledged unless you press Submit at least once.

4. Multiple Submissions
You may submit more than one abstract, but each must be submitted separately.  Note: There may be limitations on both oral presentation slots and posters due to scheduling. 

5. Withdrawing Your Submission

To withdraw an abstract, please contact the organising team at: thermodynamics2026@imperial.ac.uk
